Chromate Conversion Coating
Customer purchased a chromium removal system for their chromate
conversion coating aluminum
painting operation. System sized to process 30 - 50 gpm.
The ENVIRO-CLEAN PROCESS has
treated over 5,000,000 gallons of rinse water with 100% recycle back
to the production line. The
client reduced their annual waste teatment and disposal costs by 45%
per year and expect less than
an 18 month pay back on the system price. Customer received an
EPA Region 7 Pollution Preventation Award based on the performance of this system.
Naval base purchased a chromium and zinc removal system for their chromate
conversion coating
used to paint aluminum warheads. System replaced an existing
traditioanal chemical precipitation
scheme. The old system was replaced due to workers being exposed
to harzardous heavy metal dust.
Effluent from the Lewis system to contained less than 0.10 mg/l of
chromium and zinc.
